Bellante Family Winery

Sheri and Chuck Bellante have been making wines for the better part of 18 years. They exclusively uses grapes from some of the best areas of Santa Barbara county, notably the Santa Rita Hills and the Happy Canyon AVA (American Viticultural Area).

Those AVA’s distinguishes themselves by producing Pinot Noirs, Syrahs and Viogniers of great character.

Chuck Bellante, the winemaker, is a chemical engineer who developed a passion for winemaking and that passion definitely comes through when you first meet Chuck, yet more than a chemical engineer he is a craftsman who's focus on producing small batch, perfectly aged, high quality wines.

His wines will get you at “first sniff and sip”. Distinctively rich, complex and elegant, which is the product of applying scientific knowledge to artistry.

We fell in love with Chuck’s wines a few month ago when we first tasted his 2015 Shokrian Vineyard syrah reserve, this highly extracted wine won us and our guests over, for it sold out in a matter of weeks. 

We are currently carrying the 2016 pinot noir reserve from La Encantada Vineyards from Santa Rita Hills with the same degrees of success as for the syrah. You can enjoy it by the glass or the bottle in our dining room or the lounge.

This perfect combination of Chuck’s rich wines and Chef Paul’s exceptional food, made our decision to organizing a wine pairing dinner a so call “no brainer”. 

The Bellante Family Winery and Piccolino’s wine pairing dinner will take place at our restaurant:
